The Hunger Games

This American movie is about a city called Panem. 

In Panem there is a shining Capitol and surrounding it are twelve outer lying districts. Each year the Capitol hold the annual Hunger Games. Where kids fight to the death on live TV. When Katniss Everdeen, from district twelve, is thrust into these games she thinks she has no chance of winning. But Katniss has certain skills, some of which could make her a serious contender.

This nail biting movie has so many twists and turns it will leave you shell shocked. It is really engaging so you don't lose interest, not once. It mainly sticks to the book, and while it does tweak some stuff, it is still good. 

This movie does contain some confronting scenes. 

I would only recommend it to older audiences.

This movie is the first of three. The last one, The Mockingjay, is split into two parts. The first and the second movie are out and the first part of the Mockingjay is set to come out later this year.
