This movie starts with a couple out for a picnic. And suddenly, they leave, leaving most of their food behind, including a tin of sugar When a young ladybug accidentally gets separated from its family, it hides out in the sugar tin until a bunch of ants take it to their mound, not knowing about the ladybug inside. This movie details the experience of their journey, the foes they meet and the battles they have, especially the fight against the fearsome red bull ants. 

This french movie has probably the best animation I have seen in a really long time. The story is really well written and makes you come to love the insects. And then you are so sad because the story takes so many bad turns, but of course, you just know that the brave young ladybug will survive....
